Required equipment for outdoor tent stability
Pop-up canopy tents are lightweight by design: easy to set up, easy to take down, and easy for a wind gust to knock over. On grass or dirt, stakes solve the problem. On concrete, asphalt, parking lots, or indoor venues where stakes aren't an option, weight bags are how you keep your tent on the ground. Most outdoor event organizers, parks departments, and venue managers require either staking or weights. Not a recommendation, a safety requirement. Unsecured canopies can become projectiles in wind gusts, and weight bags are the cheap insurance against that risk.
Fillable on-site with sand, gravel, or water
Each weight bag ships empty so you don't pay to ship dead weight. Fill on-site with whatever's available: sand from a hardware store or beach, gravel for similar density and easier handling, water in a pinch when neither is available. Filled to capacity, each bag holds approximately 25-40 lbs depending on the fill material (sand provides the densest weight at about 100 lbs per cubic foot). Empty packing also means lightweight transport between events.
Universal fit on MVP canopy tent legs
The bags wrap around the bottom of your tent legs via reinforced velcro and drawstrings. The bags are designed for MVP Visuals canopy tents (5x5 through 20x20), with universal-fit construction that works on most pop-up canopy frames in similar size classes. No tools required. Setup takes under 30 seconds per bag once your tent is up and the bag is filled.

Will weight bags fit my tent?
Yes for any MVP Visuals canopy tent (5x5 through 20x20). The bags wrap around standard pop-up canopy tent legs via velcro and drawstrings, designed to work on most non-MVP frames in similar size classes too. Contact us with your tent brand and model to verify before ordering.
How much weight does each bag hold when filled?
Each bag holds approximately 25-40 lbs of fill depending on the material. Sand is densest (about 100 lbs per cubic foot) while gravel is slightly lighter but easier to handle. Water works in a pinch but is the lightest option at roughly 62 lbs per cubic foot. For wind-prone outdoor events, sand is the recommended fill.
What can I fill the bags with?
Most operators use sand (densest, most reliable, available at any hardware store) or pea gravel (similar weight, slightly easier to handle when filling and emptying). Water works for emergency or low-stakes use but freezes in cold weather. Avoid materials that could leak, break down, or attract pests (loose dirt, mulch, organic materials).
Do I need a Set of 4 or a Set of 6?
Set of 4 is the standard configuration: one bag per tent leg, sufficient for typical outdoor event conditions. Set of 6 is the upgrade for windy locations (coastal, exposed plains, mountain venues), heavily branded tents that catch more wind, or operators who want extra safety margin. If you're unsure, the Set of 4 covers most use cases.
Can I use these instead of stakes?
On hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, parking lots, indoor venues) where stakes aren't an option, yes. Weight bags are the alternative. On grass or dirt, stakes are typically more secure than weights, but weight bags can supplement stakes in high-wind conditions. Many outdoor event organizers accept either method as long as the tent is properly secured.
Do venues require tent weights?
Most outdoor event venues, parks departments, farmers markets, and event organizers require either staking OR weights for any unsecured pop-up canopy. This is a safety requirement, not a recommendation. Unsecured tents can become projectiles in wind gusts, and there are documented injury cases from this. Check with your specific venue or event coordinator before setup. For trade shows, festivals, and outdoor markets, weight requirements are common and often non-negotiable.
Are these weight bags customizable with my logo?
No. These are stock weight bags shipped with a discrete MVP logo. Custom branding isn't available for this product. The bags hang at the base of each tent leg in low-visibility positions where stock branding doesn't compete with your custom canopy, walls, or banner graphics. These are very thick pillows.

Exactly as advertised. They are very firm and very thick. They're too thick for me to be able to use as bed pillows. However, they seem to work pretty well as cushions in my papasan chair on top of its normal cushion also work very well as decorative pillows.
I'm still giving them four stars because they're exactly as advertised and they seem well made. My only complaint is that they're just too thick. And that's definitely not the fault of the pillows or the pillow maker.

Lightweight, very smooth and comfortable comforter sheet set an a very attractive price

Such a well priced, attractive bed in a bag (comforter and sheet set) with the most lightweight comforter I have ever come across that is not a down comforter. This one is filled with 100% polyester with a 100% microfiber exterior. The sheets are called microfiber, which I am sometimes not a fan of as sometimes they feel too stretchy and hot. However, these feel good, and almost more like a smooth percale. It’s nice to the touch. Color is attractive in a clean ivory color. Going back to the comforter, I love the lightness of natural down, but somehow I have developed a sensitivity to the feathers which make me sneeze. This one can easily be thrown into the washer and dryer and feels equivalently light as my down comforters. It weighs in at slightly over a pound (though I could only carry it onto the scale) and I absolutely love the lightness of it. I did wash it in the washer and dried it in a dryer on normal heat. Came out with no wrinkles and very fluffy. Five stars!

Nice Comforter, Thin Sheets

I bought this comforter set for my guest bedroom, and the price was great. It’s really pretty and fits the bed perfectly. It includes a comforter, a sheet set with pillowcases, and two pillow shams. It arrived vacuum-sealed, when I opened it, I was impressed by how soft it felt—just right for a comforter. It seems like it will be warm yet cooling at the same time, and I love its thickness. The only downside was the sheet set. While the comforter is fluffy and cozy, the sheets felt cheap—very thin—and I prefer them thicker. They’re labeled 100% polyester but are just too thin for my taste. If you’re not picky about sheets, this set would be perfect. They are soft, just not thick enough. Overall, I really like the comforter, but I’ll use my own sheets because of the thinness of the included ones. I would have given it five, but the sheets bring it down to four.

Beautiful Sage Green Set That is Super Soft and Cozy!

I am absolutely in love with this sage green bedding set. The queen comforter has a gorgeous pre washed crinkled texture that gives the whole bedroom a really cozy, aesthetic look without needing to be ironed. It is incredibly fluffy and has just the right amount of weight to it, making it perfect to use all year round. The brushed sheets that come with the bed in a bag are surprisingly soft against the skin, and everything fit my queen mattress perfectly right out of the box.
The color is a beautiful, calming sage green that matches my room decor perfectly. I have already washed the sheets and comforter once, and they held up great in the machine without losing their softness or shrinking.
